World Record Attempt 1
On April 12th of 2025, CK and his Pickle Breakers team gathered for the first time to attempt a world record at the longest pickleball marathon of over 35 hours. They started at 6am and played all through the night until the next evening and completed 36 hours of play to set a new world record. They also raised over $20,000 dollars for Taylor's Gift!
Unfortunately, after submitting all of the evidence to Guinness to certify the world record, the attempt was rejected due to a very frustrating detail; paddle tapping and switching sides between games constituted a "break" in play that was not allowed. The Guinness rules stated that the team could earn 5 minutes of break time for every hour of play, which is what the team was focused on. The team was also focused on following the rules of pickleball as it's played professionally.
The event was very much a success in it's core mission; bring people together around pickleball and raise money for a great cause. However, the attempt was rejected and the Pickle Breakers set their sights on the future.
